Clean concrete goes to a licensed inert-fill and recycling facility to be crushed into recycled aggregate. Rebar and wire mesh are separated and sent for scrap metal recycling. Concrete is not accepted in curbside collection or in standard mixed-waste bins. If you'd like to keep broken pieces for landscaping or fill, tell us at quoting and we'll set them aside.
Can you remove concrete that's reinforced with rebar or wire mesh?
Yes. Reinforced slabs take longer and require cutting the steel out as we go, which we price into the quote after inspecting the slab. Reinforcement is common in garage floors, commercial pads, structural slabs and any pour done to engineered specification.
Do you remove concrete in the winter?
Yes — removal continues year-round in Niagara, though frozen ground and frost-bonded slabs slow the work and site protection matters more. New concrete pours are weather-dependent, so if you want removal and replacement together, late spring through fall gives the best result. We'll tell you honestly if waiting is the better call.
Do you offer removal only, or do I have to book a new pour?
Both. Standalone removal and haul-away is available where site conditions allow. That said, most of our removal work is paired with a new pour, because doing both in one mobilization is where homeowners save real money. Note that we install new concrete only — we don't provide concrete repair or resurfacing services.
