What a Concrete Addition Can Be
There's no single answer, because the project is only as big as the space you're adding. Here are the three we see most.
A Garage or Workshop, Attached or Detached
Sometimes the addition is its own structure. A garage built onto the house, a workshop in the backyard, a detached studio. We do the foundation and the slab, working to the plans your builder or designer submitted. The framing and the roof are other trades, and we set the concrete so they fit on it.
A Slab for the Space You're Adding
Kitchens, mudrooms, sunrooms. When the house grows, the floor has to grow with it. We dig the space, set the base, and pour the slab at the right height, so the framing trade can set the floor on top and the walls go up on level.
The Part That Connects the House to the Yard
Patio, terrace, entry, steps, walkway. This is the concrete addition work that extends where your home actually lives, and it gets the same standard as the rest of the job: a compacted base, the right slope, and a finish that stands up to the weather.

Where Our Concrete Addition Work Starts and Ends
A straight answer, because it saves everyone time. We're a concrete and excavation company. We dig, we build the base, we form, we pour, we finish, we cure. If the concrete addition needs framing, a roof, windows, or waterproofing, that's your builder, and we work around them. On most concrete addition projects we're the first trade on site, and we leave the site ready for the next one.

Quality
What Good Concrete Addition Looks Like
Anyone can pour concrete. The difference shows up in the details, and these are the ones we check on every addition.
- The base is compacted in lifts. Soft ground under a slab is how you get the cracks you can't live with, so the base gets pounded down before the forms go up.
- The work follows the plans. The addition comes out at the height and slope the drawings call for, which is what keeps the doors from binding and the water from pooling.
- It's poured in one clean run. Concrete placed continuously doesn't carry the weak spots that come from stopping and starting.
- The cure is managed. The slab gets the time and the protection it needs to reach full strength, and we tell you when it's ready for the next trade.
Sequence
How the Concrete Addition Project Runs
Before We Break Ground
The plans are in, the permit is lined up with your town, and the utility locates are run. We walk the site with you, and with your builder if there is one, and the quote covers the whole run of the work.
While the Work Runs
We dig, we build the base, we form, we pour. You get a heads-up when the municipal inspections are due, because the footings and the base get checked before anything is covered.
When It's Done
The concrete for the addition is cured, the site is graded and left clean, and the next trade can start. If you're doing the finishing yourself, we'll tell you what the surface is ready for and what it isn't.

Can we pour in the fall?
Mild weather is best for concrete. If your timeline pushes late, we can often get the digging and the base in the ground and pour when the weather allows. Bring it up when we walk the site.
